DONNA: Is that one of the reasons that they so desperately try to reach out for other things and fill their lives with other things?

KRISSY: Yeah. You know I say it all the time that God created us to hunger for Him, Sid Roth. We were created with this void inside of us that can only be filled with Him! And so often if we don’t know Him, if we’ve not been introduced to the Gospel, you know we can spend our lives searching for something, anything you know to fill that void because that void can feel like emptiness when it’s not filled with God, with His love and His life! And so I feel like yeah, that’s why so often many will get caught up in addictions and get bound and search for love and acceptance in other people and other, you know in other things.

DONNA: Right.

KRISSY: We were created to hunger and thirst and the Word says that for all that do will be filled! We just need to know where to be filled, Sid Roth.

DONNA: Uh-huh.

KRISSY: And where our source is!

DONNA: You know I’ve been a believer since I was 16 years old. I mean a good, dedicated, solid commitment of faith since I was 16. And as I grew, I grew up. I got married. I had two children. And I remember sitting one day in my living room. I had a newborn baby and I had a two-year old. I wasn’t working at the time and I thought okay, so here I sit. I’m married. I’m not working. I’ve got two children. I’m 25. Ahh. What else is there to live for? You know what am I going to do with the rest of my life? All of a sudden I felt like I had nothing but that little — which that was important to me. It was very, very important to me. But I thought I’m done with as far as God being able to use me. Why do we feel that way?

KRISSY: I feel like that is one of the biggest traps that the enemy has set for women and for mothers in particular to say is this all you’re ever going to do? You know you’re just a mom. Look at you! You’re just a mom! You’re covered in spit-up.

DONNA: [Laughs]

KRISSY: You’ve been changing diapers all day. Doing laundry. You know that has no value! And you know he comes in. He’s the accuser of the brethren and he comes in and he wants to tear us when God wants come in and speak a word of truth to moms and say what you are doing is of high value to Me! What you’re actually doing is you have been given a platform into the next generation in the future of the kingdom of God! And He wants to speak into moms! He wants to speak into you right now if you’re a mom and you’re feeling this way, that your life has high value and you are given an “in” to His plans and purposes for the future of the kingdom and that’s through your children! So we can stand tall and realize that even though it may seem messy.
