MIKE: The gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world.

CINDY: And then the end shall come! And so you think about it. Well, what is the Gospel of the kingdom? I mean these are huge questions! It’s like as a Christian, what is my role? Well, it’s to see that all of the nations hear the Gospel of the kingdom. What’s the Gospel of the kingdom? You know it’s just one question poses another question poses another question. And then I realized that God is going to hold me responsible for America. God is going to hold me responsible for what I do in the nation. Sid Roth.

MIKE: Mmm!

CINDY: I mean what is it? Like media? You know we were just in Hollywood for The National Day of Prayer. I tell you God is moving in Hollywood. A lot of people dissed it, you know, and have so many bad things but there are many believers in Hollywood and there are many people that are out there really fighting the good fight. Working for a great film and God to move there. I mean, I was so touched actually. But you know so that was our beginning. And so I said to the Lord well how do heal a nation? We’re generals and prayer generals. And so we began and we began to repent for the sins of our nation. But at that time, you think about in the ’80s, isn’t that crazy? I mean today you call a church and most of them have prayer meetings. Sid Roth.

MIKE: Yeah. Intercession teams.

CINDY: Yeah, they do. They have teams and people pray but it wasn’t that way in the ‘80s.

MIKE: Well I owe my life spiritually to an intercessory group.

CINDY: [Laughs]

MIKE: So I really relate to your ministry because prayer comes before the manifested works of God.

CINDY: Yes. Yes.

MIKE: And I won’t go into detail but I was a teacher of yoga at four universities and very deep in the New Age and came to Tampa, Florida to start a yoga “ashram” and an intercessory prayer group led by a great woman of God named Bertha Madden, read the article in the Tampa Tribune and said “not on our watch!”

CINDY: [Laughs]

MIKE: And she had a 24-hour prayer chain and started focusing on me. Every hour of every day they were interceding for me and within a month I was saved and in the kingdom!

CINDY: You couldn’t have helped it! [Laughs]

MIKE: And all my classes were canceled! So people think that prayer is just a sideline.

CINDY: Uh-huh.

MIKE: It’s the foundation.

CINDY: It is!

MIKE: It is absolutely the foundation of the move of God!

CINDY: Yeah. Yeah, it is!

MIKE: And what do you think about the necessity, if God’s going to reclaim our nation, for Christian principles? How is prayer going to pave the way to that happening?

CINDY: Well there is so much prayer going on in America today! Oh my goodness! You know we just had The National Day of Prayer. At least 40,000 sites, not people, had a day of prayer. You think about that! I mean, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

MIKE: Sure.

CINDY: That many people praying!

MIKE: Sure!
